Considering the client's familiarity with WordPress for content creation and editing, they sought to continue using it.
On a designated subdomain, we established a WordPress installation showcasing various content types and a customized multilingual approach. Following this, we developed a frontend powered by Next/React, which retrieves content through the WordPress REST API, utilizing React's interactive capabilities.
Utilizing NextJS as our framework, we harness the advantages of a multi-page application, including SEO optimization, rapid initial loading, and scalability, within the framework of a single-page application.
At Aarstein Media, our commitment extends beyond visual appeal and user-friendliness. We emphasize the importance of making online content accessible to all, regardless of circumstances. Our design adheres to the WCAG 2.0 standard for universal design, ensuring that all elements such as forms, buttons, navigation, and contrast meet the highest accessibility criteria.
Our setup enables WordPress to seamlessly interact with the frontend. This encompasses enabling internal links within text to take advantage of preloading and the smooth user experience commonly linked with a single-page application.
Beyond the management of static text content in WordPress, you also possess the ability to generate new content dynamically from the backend—akin to the process in a conventional multi-page application.
